Board Meeting
The LWVMC Board meets monthly to review and discuss decisions related to the organization's policy, program, and administration. The Board oversees the League's activities, including financial matters, advocacy efforts, voter service initiatives, and program planning. They also address membership updates and other business as needed.
All League members are welcome to attend any Board Meeting.

Monthly Justice Committee meeting
The Justice Committee meets on the second Thursday of every month. The meetings are open to anyone with an interest in immigration, criminal justice reform, gun safety, human trafficking, and human rights.
This time the focus is on Immigration, Criminal Justice, and Gun Safety. Lisa Bennett, ED of Marin Multicultural Center which (among many other things) runs the Marin Rapid Response Network (MRRN), will provide an update on the increase in ICE enforcement activity in Marin County and what we can do in response. Mom’s Demand Action will let us know about their efforts to promote gun safety in Marin County and how you can support their projects and goals. Light refreshments provided for those attending in person. No RSVP necessary.

Rock the Ride brings our community together to remember local gun violence tragedies and to support public safety and gun violence prevention education here and across our state. Save the Date for Author Elaine Weiss
Elaine Weiss, author of "The Women's Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote" (2018) and "Spell Freedom: The Underground Schools that Built the Civil Rights Movement" (2025), will join us in conversation for National Women's Equality Day. Weiss's books are about the creation of the League of Women Voters and the continuing fight to protect voting rights in this country. Read one or both books for further enjoyment of this opportunity to talk with the author. The event will be hybrid. Additional details to come.

2026 California Primary Election -- Final Day to Vote
Today is Election Day, the final day to vote in the June 2, 2026 Primary Election.
All California active registered voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot for the June 2, 2026, Primary Election.
Your county elections office will begin mailing ballots by May 4, 2026.
The last day to register to vote (online or by mail) for the June 2, 2026, Primary Election is May 18, 2026 .
In person conditional voter registration/same day voting is available at all voting locations May 19 through June 2.
Ballot drop-off locations open on May 5, 2026.
Vote-by-mail ballots can be returned by mail, at a drop-off location, or your county elections office.
Vote centers open for early in-person voting in all Voter’s Choice Act counties beginning on May 23, 2026.
Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by the Marin County Elections Dept by June 9, 2026.

History of the Dipsea: Marin's Iconic Dipsea Race and its Pioneering Women
Event Description:
Join renowned Dipsea historian Barry Spitz for an engaging journey through the history of the legendary Dipsea Race. From its early years on Marin’s rugged trails to the traditions that define it today, this talk explores the colorful characters and enduring spirit of the Dipsea, with a special focus on the pioneering women whose participation helped transform the race.

Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade
Please join Moms Demand Action volunteers and members of the Mill Valley community for the annual Memorial Day Parade! We'll carry signs, pass out candy, and of course don our red shirts, as a show of support for veterans on this important day. This is a family-friendly event; all are welcome to walk with our group. No dogs. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and wear red if you have it!
