Help bridge the digital divide
Join Canal Alliance, co-sponsors and distinguished panelists on Friday, May 21st at 11:30 am to explore the opportunity to take collective action toward a more just digital future in Marin County.
By focusing on affordable housing conversion and preservation as a strategy to stem displacement and alleviate severe rent burdens, our efforts will ensure that people of color and low-income families remain rooted in our community.
Even before the pandemic, cities across the US and the world were successfully taking control of their digital futures. Together we can build community-wide access to the high-speed, low-cost broadband internet our communities need to thrive in the twenty-first century.
The event will be available in English and Spanish.
The Forum will feature:
Opening remarks by Omar Carrera – CEO, Canal Alliance
Panel discussion moderated by Katharine Trendacosta – Associate Director of Policy and Activism, EFF
Closing remarks by Mike Blakeley – CEO, Marin Economic Forum
