  • October 5

    • Vote by mail ballots start to be mailed.

    • Voting opens at the Elections Department.

    October 6

    • Vote by mail Ballot Drop Boxes available.

    October 19

    • Voter Registration deadline.

    October 20

    • Conditional Voter Registration and same day voting begins at the Elections Department (in-person).

    October 23

    • Last day to request a vote by mail ballot be mailed (voters can still pick up a ballot at any vote center in Marin).

    October 24

    • 11-day Vote Center Locations open.

    Note: In-person voter registration & voting available at all vote centers.

    October 31

    • 4-day Vote Center Locations open.

    November 3, 2026

    • ELECTION DAY - LAST DAY TO VOTE!

    • ALL Vote Center Locations & Elections Dept Open 7 am — 8 pm.

    • Ballot Drop Boxes are locked at 8pm.

    *POST - ELECTION *

    November 25

    • Last day to correct ballot envelope signature issues by 5:00 p.m.

    • Vote the ballot mailed to you

      • Important: Read & follow instructions carefully, SIGN the return envelope!

    • Vote in-person at the Marin County Elections Dept (Oct.5 - Nov.3) OR at ANY Marin County vote center (Oct.24 - Nov.3)

    • Early Voting: Oct.5 - Nov.2

    • Election Day Voting : Nov.3 , 7am - 8pm (Ballot drop boxes are locked at 8pm)

    IMPORTANT:

    • Vote by mail ballots MUST be signed to be counted.

    • Vote by mail ballots returned less than 7 days before Election Day (10/28 - 11/3), should be returned to a ballot drop box or vote center. Voters who MUST use US Mail should request a hand stamped postmark by a post office clerk (to avoid US Mail postmark & delivery delays).
