Launching in 2021, “California Conversations” is a new quarterly series featuring live, interactive discussions on a variety of California topics.
Attendees on Thurs., Feb. 18 from 5 to 6 p.m. will hear from Michelle Duster on the legacy of her great-grandmother Ida B. Wells for Black History Month. Duster is a champion of racial and gender equity whose advocacy has led to the creation of public history projects celebrating the achievements of women and African Americans through street names, monuments and historical markers. Her latest book, “Ida B. the Queen: The Extraordinary Life and Legacy of Ida B. Wells,” will be released on January 26, 2021.
