2026 California Primary Election -- Final Day to Vote

Today is Election Day, the final day to vote in the June 2, 2026 Primary Election.

  • All California active registered voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot for the June 2, 2026, Primary Election.

  • Your county elections office will begin mailing ballots by May 4, 2026.

  • The last day to register to vote (online or by mail) for the June 2, 2026, Primary Election is May 18, 2026 .

  • In person conditional voter registration/same day voting is available at all voting locations May 19 through June 2.

  • Ballot drop-off locations open on May 5, 2026.

  • Vote-by-mail ballots can be returned by mail, at a drop-off location, or your county elections office.

  • Vote centers open for early in-person voting in all Voter’s Choice Act counties beginning on May 23, 2026.

  • Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by the Marin County Elections Dept by June 9, 2026.
