New Perspectives

Join LWVMC members for our Annual Meeting. We will conduct important League business* as well as review the past year's accomplishments and share some of our upcoming plans. We will then have lunch and hear from our guest speaker, Derek Johnson, the Marin County Executive Administrator who will speak to us about Marin County Government - New Perspectives (see below for more info).

Non-members are welcome to join us to learn about League, enjoy lunch (optional) & hear from our guest speaker.

Our Guest Speaker is Derek Johnson, the Marin County Executive for the past year. Mr. Johnson will provide an overview of how Marin County is now governed, what the County Executive's role is, and how the position has changed from his predecessor. He will share the top issues facing Marin County now and in the next five years and his short-term and long-term goals. Mr. Johnson will also discuss the recent hiring of a new Registrar of Voters, to replace the retiring Lynda Roberts, and how organizations like LWV can work with local governments to have input on those issues that impact the community.

*Members need to read the Member Kit prior to the meeting; non-members do not participate in any voting.
