Collaboration – Affordable Housing project update in Marin County

1.    Guest Speaker: Greg Minor, Assistant Director, Community Economic Development Department, City of San Rafael

 Subject: Update on San Rafael’s New Housing Developments

Considerable public discussion and controversy have surrounded several housing projects proposed or approved in San Rafael. Mr. Minor will review with us the State housing mandates and requirements that apply to San Rafael, including the number and types of housing units the City is expected to accommodate.

He will discuss the strategies the City is using to meet those requirements while addressing concerns raised by residents and the business community regarding traffic and transportation, fire and emergency access, infrastructure, neighborhood compatibility, and other impacts associated with increased development
