June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender/Transexual, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual/Allies+ (LGBTQIA+) Pride Month! To celebrate and stand in solidarity, many organizations change their social media avatars (profile pictures) to a version of their logo that incorporates a rainbow. The rainbow is used a symbol of LGBTQIA+ pride and LGBTQIA+ social movements, as its many colors reflect the beautiful diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community. The Progress Pride flag is another version that includes specific colors for Black, brown, and trans queer pride to bring those communities to the forefront.
