  • VIRTUAL EVENT: Eventbrite registration required to attend (link below) (map)

Join the Women's Museum of California for a virtual film screening and talkback

About this event

The 1980 documentary The Life and Times of Rosie the Riveter is listed in the Library of Congress as being culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant. It blends the compelling personal stories of five diverse women who worked in World War II industries and the original government footage shown in 1940s theatres. Don’t miss the 1940s music and the “March of Time” clips. Be sure to look for the women’s personal highs and lows of earning power, opportunity, discrimination, and dramatic life changes, and let’s talk about a new image of “Rosie” to which we can all relate.

Join the Zoom at 5:30 PM to watch the film live. Audience members are invited to participate in a conversation after the film facilitated by WMC board member, Sue Gonda Ph.D.
