Join us at our Ballot Measure Pro and Con Team Meeting - July 15 @ 12:00 at the LWVMC Office.
Our Voter Services Committee is beginning to research, analyze and prepare presentations for all statewide ballot measures certified for the November 8 2016 California ballot.
Given the scope of this effort, we need a team of people interested in working together to understand and present these ballot measures.
We will have our first working meeting on Friday, July 15 at noon in the League office. At that time, we will review key tasks/ dates, discuss relevant resource material, and agree on roles & responsibilities.
We are looking for members interested in researching one or more of the 13 ballot measures (as of 6/30/2016), writing scripts of the Pros and Cons for each ballot measure, reviewing, editing or critiquing the scripts/discussions and Presenters who will be available from shortly after Labor Day until just before the November election.
This is one of the most valuable services we offer to the public, it is an interesting and fun project to be involved in, a great outreach for the League, and we need lots of help this year!
Please let us know if you are interested in participating in any way, can come on July 15th and/or want to be contacted for more information. Questions? Contact us at Voter-Service@marinlwv.org.
