The Justice Committee is involved in several significant justice topics: Criminal Justice, Gun Safety, Immigration, Human Trafficking Prevention, and Rights of Women and Children.
The Committee researches legislation, attends local speaker and community events, and engages with local experts to share perspectives on these topics. The Justice Committee arranges speaker presentations at its meetings and hosts Monthly Member Meetings in order to educate League members and our community. We welcome those who simply want to learn more about these topics, as well as those who would like to get involved in the Committees’ work.
The League of Women Voters of Marin County is a member organization of the Marin County Coalition to End Human Trafficking, Marin Moms Demand Action, and Marin Gun Safety Collaborative.
The Justice Committee meets on the second Thursday of the month from noon to 1:30 pm in person and by ZOOM. All League members and friends are welcome to attend.
