NOTES: Your ballot is determined by the district boundaries where you live (Marin County District/Precinct Boundary Maps). Your County Official Voter Information Guide has valuable information to inform your vote, it is enclosed in the envelope with your ballot and online in your Voter Information Portal .


IMPORTANT DATES:

July 31:

  • Vote-by-Mail ballots mailed to active registered voters

  • Voting opens at the Elections Department

    • There are no Vote Centers for this election. In-person services available at the Elections Dept: 3501 Civic Center Dr. Suite 121, San Rafael CA 94903

      • Monday - Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm

August 1: Official Ballot Drop Boxes Available ( Locations & Hours )

August 14: Voter Registration Deadline

August 15: Conditional Voter Registration & Same Day Voting Begins at Elections Dept. Vote Center ( Learn More )

August 22: Last day for voters to request a vote by mail ballot be mailed to them (voters can still pick up a ballot at the Elections Department)

August 29: ELECTION DAY - Last Day to Vote

  • In-person services at the Elections Department — 3501 Civic Center Dr. Suite 121, San Rafael CA 94903

    • 7 am to 8 pm

  • Vote by mail ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day (August 29) and received by the Elections Dept by 7 days after Election Day. No postage needed, sign and date the return envelope to insure that your ballot is counted.

  • Ballots returned to an Official Ballot Drop Box must be dropped off before 8pm on Election Day, no postage needed, envelope must be signed for ballot to be counted.

  • Less than 7 days before Election Day, it is recommended to return your ballot to an Official Ballot Drop Box or the Marin County Elections Dept. to avoid possible late postmark issues.
